Visited today, found out the Romans first built a bridge over the river cam, hence Cambridge, and the place built from there.

The university goes back about 800 years.

Pink Floyd played thier first ever gig there at the Anchor pub.

In the market square there is a Thai Food van "birds" Thai food, which imo is the best Thai food I've ever had.

I've seen The Darkness several times at the Corn Exchange.

Oh, and the place is full of punts.

good day to visit - you didn't drive in from North by Milton Road & see the road works, or ... Park&ride ?

Nah I got the guided bus from St. Ives.

They spent like 50 million on that or something. I am not sure why having normal road with a "buses only" sign at each end wouldn't have worked, but clearly the people who run the council know better than I do.

people have got bigger over the years so the pavements just seem smaller (like parking spaces, or carriageways with cars)
plus students/GenZ who can't multi-task between walking and playing with their phone.
