IMC or memory problem

I have 64gb of 8 pack DDR4 3600 memory and used to be able to run it 4000 with very tight timings, gradually over time I have had to drop the speed to 3800 then 3600 using the same timings. My 10980XE is getting a bit long in the tooth, and I am wondering which is the more likely culprit, IMC or the RAM?

Probably IMC but hard to tell without testing the RAM in another machine.

Could be anything including voltage regulation or oxidation of the motherboard.

How high was your SoC/System Agent voltage for those settings? My bet is on IMC degradation.

I think its the IMC too, there must be a reason why they give lifetime warranty for RAM. My 5900x is playing up at XMP now. Can't wait for the new chips to come out.

1.2V not particularly high.

1.2V not particularly high.

There are also the VDDG and VDDP voltages on AMD (not sure what the Intel equivalent is) that often get pushed up extremely high by the motherboard when using XMP/manually overclocking.
