Over about the last 3 days I've been getting notifications about someone trying to sign into my apple account in varying parts of the world ( China/ Brazil etc), is my password comprised? ( its very strong and nothing about my account has been touched or changed) or is it them just chancing trying to access my account and Apple making me aware?

Probably not, especially if it's long, complicated and unique. If you're just getting alerts and no actual 2FA requests then your password hasn't been compromised.

You have 2FA enabled so nobody is going to get in. I get these occasionally, just one or two in quick succession from random places.

Top tip, always use an email address that you don’t use elsewhere for any important accounts as well as a strong random generated password.
