I’m leaning towards using a distro plate with D5 pump for my first water build. I’ve gone for a huge new case so plenty of room. There’s no specific EK plate for it, so what would be a good option for using a ‘generic’ one please ?
I see there’s a Bykski one available somewhere but no idea if that’s a good make or anything

Byski are fine
Though think theirs is a ddc not a d5
Other options have one custom made
Or maybe a phanteks
They have a couple that go where your rear fan is
140mm or 120mm
Though need a separate pump with those

If I spent that much on a case
I would probably get a custom distro made
Probably looking at couple hundred quid before pump cost

There's a custom distro maker in this thread
Hopefully the links of what the former member had made
Are still active
He went with dual d5
Not a bad idea from a redundancy point of view
One pump fails your pc is still usable
Until its convenient to fix it

There's also radikult who is great
But import tax and postage makes that very expensive

@Jay85 Has some beautiful stuff made
But no idea of the cost
And if they take orders and wait time etc

Dual custom distro link
Website links in the thread at bottom I think

I have a machinist to make the Distros https://www.instagram.com/praetex_design/?hl=en-gb

but used https://aqua-customs.com/ for all my CAD work.

You'll need to be able to conjure up a Technical drawing though for the CAD technician to work from, ideally with accurate measurements too.

Minimum spend with Praetex order value is £180-200 i believe so regardless of how small the item is, that's the minimum you'll be paying. If the CAD work is good (It's always meticulous with Aqua Customs) then Alex from Praetex can usually do it fairly quickly. Of course this depends on his current work load.

Side note: Both times i've used Praetex, i've used STEP files.

Thanks mate
£200 minimum order would be fine
If wanting a custom distro of a decent size
An ek etc would be over that anyway
My 011d xl is over 300 with the d5 so that minimum order value
Isn't unreasonable especially for a one off job

For transparency my custom twin distros for my AquaFusion build cost £380 inc shipping etc, it's worth every penny :D.
