Arctic freezer 3 for worth a look also and comes with 6yrs warranty. did find the deepcool with a lcd display..comes with 5yrs warranty also though haven''t checked reviews on the display etc, but seeing as a standard aircooler for £30 will cool a 7800x3d, any 360mm will prob be overkill...put non rgb and rbg version of the freezer in, as you said you weren't bothered by the lights

Arctic won't fit in the phanteks case I specced (which is why I didn't suggest it)
I take itit's the thickness then? Pangoly had it compatible and the phanteks spec page had only a 360mm being able to go in top, and didn't specifiy max thickness. Can't believe a new case still gets designed not to cater for thicker rads still

1st psu is an atx3.0 version...2nd is older version so not atx3.0 compliant.

added some atx3.0 compliant psu's below. 1st only has a 7yrs warranty but still a tier and will have a cable like above that can connect to latest nvidia card(neither corsair has a native socket on their psu's...they gone with not using them, but still making their psu's atx3.0 compliant and putting in a conversion cable) the rm850x shift is corsair top tier psu with 10yrs warranty, though psu designed slightly differently is that the connections are on the side so for a regular case you can attach/detach cables easily, you just need to make sure there's room in case to do this.
3rd is the same seasonic gx850 that you listed above, but this is the atx3.0 version
Both the msi psu's are good and come with 10yrs warranty, and on offer, though the 850 one is on preorder now, so you'd have to wait a bit

Hi again.
I've purchased all the components apart from the graphics card and have started the build.
I've gone with the Asus ROG Strix B650E-F mb and the montech king 95 pro case.. I have three cables I'm struggling to find the location on the mb for.
The 1st is marked F. Panel
The 2nd and 3rd come from the side of the onboard rgb hub.
I attach a layout of the mb and pictures of each of the cable plugs.
Again all advice is greatly appreciated.

F. Panel is front panel connectors, so power button, reset etc.

If you have a look at your mobo manual, you should be able to see where they plug in.

As for GPU, I struggle to see why anyone would choose something other than a 7900GRE at the ~£500 price point, especially at 4k. It's not as if the competing Nvidia offerings can do convincingly offer 4k raytraced performance either so it's a bit of a moot point.
