Anybody had any success in removing the smell? I just added a 100kg worth of them to my cast iron collection.

Never had it go away, I bought some cheap hexbells awhile back and I'm pretty sure the only thing I could use to fix the smell would warp/damage the coating.

Yes, it does go away. Takes ages though. One set took about 3-4 months, the other probably up to a year.
Thanks for the response guys. I've just noticed a couple of suggestions on the net indicating the use of Bicarbonate of Soda etc, might help.
I ended up buying a Levoit air purifyer with an active charcal filter. I'm glad to report it works a treat. Highly recommended.
