The lighting in Cyberpunk is garishly overdone and not even remotely accurate, if you place light probes in a scene and allow it cast light in a natural way Cyberpunk is nothing like what you would get, Cyberpunk is a showcase for RTX, its not use of RT to light a scene.

I think of Cyberpunk as a "turn it up to 11" style game, I quite like the RT FX in it but I played the vast majority of the game and the expansion with RT and DLSS turned off.

Cyberpunk is a good game, as a game, and it looks great, in a garish sort of way, i happen to like the way it looks, but its not what i want from a game that i take seriously, i want the lighting to be naturally accurate, i prefer photorealistic texturing and attention to detail, rather than being blasted by massively over saturated neon that makes no sense as lighting.

When updating to the latest drivers for the same gpu via the adrenaline software, do i need to uninstall the old ones?

Is it worth updating to the new drivers if your not actually playing any of the games mentioned in the release notes?

I don't uninstall. Just install over the top. You should uninstall if you've been using one of the preview release drivers. And I've also noted more recently no mandatory reboot. Which is nice!

I'd say you should upgrade. As bug fixes are not just game related. There are video and audio and other misc. fixes.

Can you let us know what kind of behaviour you see when upgrading through Adrenalin's UI?

Yeah, when I had my Vega 56 if I upgraded from the UI then my cards would always run at full speed and wouldn't clock down as it should so I got into the habit of not using the UI for driver updates. Thought I'd give it try again this time, after all got a different gpu now. This time all colours looked really washed out. Uninstalled, downloaded and installed manually and colours are back to normal

Did it reset anything you've got set up in the colour display settings? I always find whenever I update drivers it resets my colour saturation (I have it at 130 and it goes back to default at 100).

I also like a boosted colour saturation and the driver update didn't change my settings. I always opt for a full reset though and there's a little box that says 'Save User Settings' so I don't have to set up my games/colours again.

No nothing was changed. I have my saturation and colour settings etc configured on my monitor to avoid this kinda thing.

I tend to choose full reset and save user settings also
