Hi all looks like i may need to up grand my currenty gaming PC, have been waiting to get City Skylines 2, i had a look at the specs to run the game and watched many reviews online regarding this. I think i will wait until i have updated my PC, will start doing some research very soon was just wondering what other would recomend. I would like to keep it under £500.00. But after looking at the price of GPU's at the moment, i dont think i will be able to achieve that. My current system is:

Motherboard Asrock B450 ITX
CPU Ryzen 5 2600
CPU cooler Cryorig H7 Cooler
GPU RX590
Ram 16GB

I'd go with a cheap 5600/x for ~£80/£90 to start, sell the 2600 for ~£30/£40, then save up for a decent GPU. If you want to go cheap and don't need top end then the remaining £450 will get you something pretty decent.

See if you can find a second-hand 16 GB Arc A770 for a decent price. Not the 8 GB version. A quick Googling (e.g. here and here) indicates that it does well because of the 16 GB VRAM.

Your best CPU upgrade short of a full refresh will be the 5800X3D for £275.

After a bit of research I am trying to find a 2nd hand 5700 CPU and then I will decide what GPU to get with what’s left over from my budget.
