When you’re struggling in front of goal you need a solid defence and we’ve never had that all season. Worse still, we’ve never tried to address it all season. Our luck ran out, plain and simple.

Play the kids for the rest of the season and make Salah clean the boots for the remaining games.

Beaten by a team that wanted it more tonight than we wanted the title, sickening.

Never thought I'd say this but actually feel a little bad for Klopp...

He does my head in sometimes but brings a lot of entertainment.

Same sort of thing as Jose really who can be a total bell, but the premiership is more entertaining with him in it.

IIRC he said Spurs could finish above them based on Europe and cup games where Spurs had a clear run. He brought it up the following week on his overlap show
Whatever his rationale for saying it was, he was still predicting that Spurs could/would finish above Arsenal. You can't really use Neville as an example of somebody backing Arsenal to win the League when a couple of months ago he didn't fancy them to finish in the top 2.

its mad to think not many weeks ago everyone was saying the european draws meant liverpool had the advantage as arsenal and city would have tougher games etc in champs league and then all 3 teams end up going out anyway

mad season

Every time this season in the studio when they’ve asked him who he thinks will win it, he’s said Arsenal.

The fact he said Spurs COULD not WOULD finish above them based on a few few factors that never happened doesn’t overrule who he’s backed to win it from the start of the season.

..very hard to predict things when its so close. Nunez scores that basically an open goal and it's 1 all at HT. Totally different game in the 2nd.

I didn't know you were keeping a record of every comment Neville's made to know that but seeing as he said Spurs could come 2nd, above Liverpool and Arsenal, that suggests he had City winning the League does it not? Neville talks **** and changes his opinion all the time which is why you putting him forwards as somebody that's always backed Arsenal to win the League was nonsense.

edit: and watch the last from 5mins 30 of the vid below. Neville saying he thinks City will win it now (after Liverpool & Arsenal lost) and that he "before that thinking City would probably win it". So always saying Arsenal would win it?

No he’s never had City winning it when asked. He’s said from the start of the season that Arsenal would do it on multiple occasions.

Just because he said something about Spurs that he then went on to clarify on an overlap episode, doesn’t mean he hasn’t backed Arsenal throughout.

It isn’t nonsense at all, you’re just in a one after tonight’s result. He certainly hasn’t changed his opinion all the time this season on who he was backing to win it.

Think someone asked about this stat earlier...

Sheffield United have conceded 92 Premier League goals this season.

They've played 34 of their 38 games.

Before tonight the record in a 38-game season was 89 by Derby County in 2007-08.
