Both James Blunt and Hans Zimmer were fantastic last weekend at the Ovo Hydro in Glasgow.

I'm hearing rumours that Mark Knopfler is planning a tour in order to promote his latest album - I would definitely be buying tickets to see him again as he was fantastic the last time we saw him play at the Playhouse in Edinburgh a few years back.

I'm enroute to meet Bobby and Bobbie from Bob Vylan.
Gonna get my memorabilia signed, pick up the latest album and have a chat.
Gotta get the cheesy selfie too

That was a cool time.
Pair of decent guys, got my stuff signed, had a laugh.

Last night I saw HotWax play at Future Yard in Birkenhead.
They smashed it.
It was excellent.

Bumped into George from The Mysterines after the gig, had a pint and a chat.

A good evening all round.

Next up is Sustinere at Sotto in Liverpool on Saturday.

Nice.

I saw Saxon, Uriah Heep and Priest last month they were all excellent (though I wish Heep got a bit more time, feels like they only got half an hour)

Bit of a dry spell for me gig wise.

Millie Manders and Shut Up next week at Wroot
Call of the Wild Festival at Lincoln next month - Bit of a mixed bag (booked while I was there last year before anything was announced) but I'm looking forward to Sons of Liberty, These Wicked Rivers, South of Salem and Scarlet Rebels again) - Gonna be hard to top The Kris Barrass band and Those damn Crows from last year
DocksFest in July. Not an amazing line up but Frank Turner 15 minutes walk from my house is nothing to sneeze at.
Stonedead in August - KKs Priest and Saxon headlining.
Badlands Punk Festiva at Lincoln in September.

Well... Last night turned into a huge session.

Sustinere were awesome, they are criminally underrated imo.

The missus n I ended up in a swanky cocktail joint.

The both of us are still in bed.

Next up is Heavy Lungs at the Arts Club in Liverpool.

Got x2 tickets for British Summer time festival to see a K-Pop band called "Stray Kids" - taking my daughter as she is a huge fan, I'm just hoping the beer and supporting acts are good bc it isn't my type of music!

Heading to Dublin on Saturday to see Sprints.
That was an amazing gig.
They noticed my Warmduscher t-shirt, so we all became best friends.
Me n the missus were right at the front, Collie stage dived right onto us :D
Karla handed me her set list, and a couple of guitar pics.

Truly was awesome and deffo worth spending 24hrs in Dublin.

Monday was Big Special's 1st gig of their 2024 tour @ District in Liverpool
They played through their album, Post-Industrial Blues, and it's good, really good.

Tonight I'm out to see CVC at the Liverpool Arts Club.

Also, scored my tickets for Bearded Theory.
The hype is real for that.

Tonight I'm out to see CVC at the Liverpool Arts Club.
Walked in and the place smelled like middle-aged farts, walked out.

Demob Happy were playing next door so watched them instead.

Not a rubbish band, good sound, good vibe.

Hungover this morning though.

Well, Big Special turned up in Liverpool again yesterday at The Jacaranda.
Cool little acoustic vibe and signing.

Joe n Cal signed my 1 of 500 pressings 7" that I bought last year at their gig in yes!

Also, the jac is next to the pub I watch the footy.
My team won.
Probably my best day ever.

Deffo on the wagon now, until I head to Bearded Theory at the end of the month.
