Good time last night, well of course it was.
Panic Shack always put on a good show.

I'm heading up to Glasgow in a couple of weeks because my mate is a big fan of Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes and she bought a couple of tickets.

I know nothing about the band, but Frank is doing some acoustic thing in Liverpool tonight.
So, with the aim of becoming more informed I will be attending.

Double dipped with Kula Shaker & Pip Blom.
My missus couldn't go so I took my cous.
Kula Shaker was a good time.
Hot footed it to the 2nd venue for Pip Blom which was awesome, genuine.

Got back from Glasgow yesterday, accompanied by the worst hangover possible.

Hot Wax were good, really good.
The Mysterines were wicked good.
Frank Carter and the Rattle Snakes was disappointing.
It was a gig for the birds and just didn't vibe with it.
1 of the 2 people I went to the gig with left halfway through the FC set.

Next up is Pip Blom again on the 14th with the missus tomorrow, assuming I can get an emergency dentist appointment.

Off to see Thrice on Saturday at Manchester Academy - Replaying the Artist in the Ambulance Album for its 20th (Jeez....that ages me!) Anniversary. One of my favourite bands so really looking forward to that gig.

Later in the year have the a few others lined up including Manic Street Preachers at Llangollen, Slipknot in Leeds.

Not music, but going to see Adam Buxton in Liverpool too on his podcast tour. Long time listener to the podcast so going to be great watching live.

Might make a last minute dash down to Cardiff to see Feeder in a few weeks too if can iron out arrangements with a friend who wants to go. Should be a good laugh!

Well, that was a Thurs night I would never have expected in a million years. My partner came home from work and one of her employees had given her 2 free tickets as she couldn't make it.....to Rick Astley....I was like  :o:(

To be fair though, it really wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Not my scene at all, but he was professional, slick the band were energetic (all 10 of them!), tight and the two female black (backing) singers were extremely good, bringing a mix of rap, soul and motown twists to songs. I did spend quite a bit of time on my phone but the highlight was during the encore everyone swapped their instrument for a guitar, so there was a keyboard, drums and 8 guitars and they played Highway to Hell :D

The less said about the support, Belinda Carlisle, the better.
